The quote, "A thousand words leave not the same deep impression as does a single deed" by Henrik Ibsen evolved into the adage we know, “𝗔 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀.”

Images can convey an intense story - context, action, even emotions.

Visual design supports your marketing strategy and makes your company more memorable.

After three days, people recall 65% of visual content but only remember about 10% of the words.* Powerful visuals increase engagement and conversions across various platforms.**

To create the best design:

1. Connect value proposition and audience persona to visuals***

2. Set brand guidelines (e.g. tone and style) to define all graphics

3. Take a unique approach (e.g. consider a physical element to some marketing materials because touch is memorable)

4. Keep it clean and simple (applies to words, fonts, colors, lines, etc.)

5. Know the psychology of color (#funfacts red is energetic, yellow is cheerful, and green is refreshing)

6. Remember to help the audience understand your business

While hard to assess the whole design objectively, A-B testing and analytics determine which styles and elements resonate best.****

Graphic design is an art that can be measured scientifically. Keep this balance in mind while conquering your own new islands.
